Sometime back, I watched the movie "Money Train" in which there were two subway cops who grew up as foster brothers. For one of the brothers (Woody), nothing ever seemed to go right and his brother (Wesley) was constantly bailing him out of trouble. At one point in the movie, Woody lost 1,500 dollars in a poker game which he didn't have, lost his girlfriend and lost his job. As much as he tried to do the right thing, he just couldn't win. Therefore, he decides to rob the money train, which also didn't go right. Throughout the movie, Woody tries to find solutions to his problems by his own reasoning finding himself only deeper in trouble and dispair.
As Christians, we too find ourselves in what appears to be a difficult situations that are really above our own ability to fix. During the movie, I realized how lucky I am to have a God to trust. I don't have figure out a solution by my own reasoning, besides God wants us to turn to Him anyway. The Bible points us in the right direction.
Praise be to God He is greater than me, but it also gives me a burden for the lost people of this world.
